TECH REFURBISHMENT & REUSE

Give your IT a second life before it becomes e‑waste

We prioritise refurbishment over recycling, extending device life, protecting your data, and reducing environmental impact. When reuse isn't viable, we break equipment down for responsible material recovery.

Refurbishment process

Why refurbishment first?

Refurbishment Criteria

Technical, economic, environmental, and compliance checks.

Refurbish where viable, recycle the rest

Our goal is to keep usable technology in circulation for as long as possible. That means rigorous testing, secure data workflows, repairs with quality parts, and clear reporting. If an item cannot be safely or economically restored, we harvest components and recycle responsibly.

How refurbishment works

1) Intake & Log

Assets arrive sealed and tagged. We check-in, serialise, and tie each item to your job ID.

2) Data Sanitisation

Certified erasure for reusable media; physical destruction for failed or policy‑driven items.

3) Triage & Repair

Diagnostics, parts replacement (RAM/SSD/battery/keyboard), and cosmetic refresh.

4) Quality Assurance

50+ point test, firmware updates, burn‑in, and safety checks to our QA standard.

5) Redeploy, Resell, Donate

Matched to your policy: redeploy internally, donate to good causes, or resell to approved channels.

6) Documentation & Impact

Receive certificates, chain‑of‑custody, asset register, and CO₂e‑savings summary.

When reuse isn't viable: the recycling route

Refurbishment is our default. If an item can't safely or economically be restored, we pivot to responsible recycling to recover materials and document outcomes. Here's what that looks like:

1) Non-viable for Reuse

Fails technical/economic/compliance tests for refurbishment.

2) Parts Harvest

Recover good RAM, SSDs, panels, and spares for future repairs.

3) Responsible Recycling

Dismantle, segregate fractions, and route via WEEE-compliant partners with weights & certificates.

What we refurbish

We handle a wide range of IT equipment for refurbishment, testing each device type with specialist knowledge and quality parts:

  • Laptops & Desktops
  • Servers & Storage
  • Networking Equipment
  • Tablets & Phones
  • Monitors & Peripherals
  • Loose Drives & Media

Compliance & Documentation

We work to UK GDPR and WEEE responsibilities. You'll receive duty‑of‑care documentation, transfer or consignment notes where applicable, and certificates covering data sanitisation or destruction. Asset‑level reporting provides full traceability from pickup to final outcome.
